Virtual design and construction
We implement the VDC (Virtual Design and Construction. CIFE Stanford) framework to the projects we do consultancy, in order to strengthen the planning and design phase from scratch, which leads to reducing their variability and thus obtaining more predictable and accurate results during its construction phase. We draw the line to identify why the client is doing the project, what the Project team needs to achieve as success goals and finally, how the Project team is achieving project objectives based on production indicators and controllable factors.
The three pillars of VDC
Building Information Management (BIM)
It is the component where virtuality resides and it’s the graphic and non-graphic information repository. Each model and it’s elements must be developed to be a reliable virtual representation of the physical structure, and to the required level of geometric and information granularity.
Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE)
It is a social method looking for meetings between teams with different tasks in search of the same goal, its objective is to facilitate decisions and improve communication by taking advantage of the use of BIM.
Project Production Management (PPM)
Is the component of the VDC responsible for the processes. Using PPM in VDC design allows you to understand, control, and improve project delivery.
